(hereinafter “Horizon,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy, dignity, and security of the personal information of its residents, employees, visitors, and partners. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) sets out the principles and practices established by Horizon to ensure compliance with the Act to modernize legislative provisions respecting the protection of personal information (hereinafter “Law 25”), which applies to all businesses operating in Quebec.

• The right to access their personal information held by Horizon;
• The right to request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
• The right to withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual obligations;
• The right to request the deletion of their data, where allowed by law;
• The right to data portability, meaning the right to obtain a digital copy of their information in a structured format;
• The right to file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

5. Protection of Vulnerable Individuals: Children and Seniors
No personal information about children under the age of 14 will be collected without verifiable parental or guardian consent.
Horizon also acknowledges the need for enhanced protections for senior residents experiencing cognitive impairments or vulnerable conditions. Where a person is deemed incapable of providing consent, decisions regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of their information will be made in collaboration with their legal representative or authorized party.
All information concerning vulnerable seniors is handled with the utmost care and in accordance with applicable professional and ethical standards.
