Main duties :
- Prepares and cooks meats, vegetables and other foods using appropriate methods;
- Plans menus during the department manager's absences;
- Ensures optimal use of foodstuffs;
- Adheres to established food presentation standards;
- Follows work methods and uses designated products and equipment in accordance with current safety, quality, hygiene and sanitation rules and standards;
- Adheres to dress code and hygiene and sanitation standards;
- Cleans equipment after each use;
- Fills refrigerators and keeps records of food consumption;
- Keeps work environment clean;
- Receives, stores and checks merchandise;
- Participates, as required, in the organization of special events in collaboration with management and the department manager;
- Performs all other related tasks.
Requirements :
- FLUENCY IN ENGLISH (MANDATORY)
- DEP in cooking or equivalent
- 2 years relevant experience
- MAPAQ hygiene and sanitation certificate
- Caring, responsible and friendly

The Villagia residence on Île Paton is looking for a kitchen assistant for the following position:
Full-time position
- Daytime schedule, including 1 weekend out of 2
- Salary of $17.21
What you'll be doing:
- Participate in the preparation and cooking, using appropriate methods, of all types of food (soup, meat, vegetables, desserts, etc.).
- Prepare light meals when required
- Assist or replace the food helper or dining room attendant as needed.
- Ensure food and other supplies are available for kitchen and dining room set-up.
What you need to work with us:
- Kitchen helper's AEP or equivalent (desirable)
- 1 year relevant experience
- MAPAQ hygiene and sanitation certificate (an asset)
- Fluency in French
- Caring, responsible and friendly
